EL PASO, TX – January 23, 2020 – The Medical Center of the Americas is calling all entrepreneurs, innovators, inventors, and startup founders to participate in STARTUP Labs at the MCA. STARTUP Labs is a six-session structured entrepreneurship training program that provides participants with the tools and resources to turn ideas into viable products and bring them to market. All STARTUP Lab sessions are open to the public and offer a fundamental knowledge base to start or grow your business. The first session starts on February 1st.
The MCA Innovation Center program provides a customized, one-on-one business learning experience, including entrepreneurial coaching, networks, and supporting resources for company founders from academia, industry, and the community. With the launch of STARTUP Labs the MCA is opening the program’s critical entrepreneurship training component to the public. No need to apply and be accepted into the Innovation Center program in order to benefit from the Center’s educational program, now it is as simple as registering for a session.
“Starting a company is not easy. Through STARTUP Labs anyone interested in creating or building a company can gain relevant knowledge and skills and begin to create the critical peer support networks that are necessary for success,” states Nancy Lowery, Director of Innovation for the MCA. “This program makes entrepreneurship training accessible to everyone regardless of the stage or focus area of the idea or company.”
All classes are held at the Cardwell Collaborative on non-consecutive Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
