Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator

The Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator will advance the organization’s mission by building strong community connections, raising visibility, and driving engagement through strategic communication and marketing initiatives. This role manages outreach, public relations, and marketing campaigns to engage stakeholders across academia, industry, government, and the community.

A successful coordinator will have excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills. You should also be skilled in the use of databases, research methods, and handling administrative duties.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Outreach & Engagement

Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage researchers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and community partners. Support nonprofit efforts to plan, promote, and coordinate community events, workshops, and informational sessions. Act as a liaison to community organizations, businesses, and media partners. Public Relations & Communications

Create press releases, newsletters, website content, and social media posts to highlight organizational programs, initiatives, and impact. Maintain strong relationships with media outlets and secure positive coverage of the nonprofit’s work. Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels. Marketing & Promotion

Develop and execute program specific and integrated marketing campaigns to increase awareness, participation, and support for the nonprofit’s programs. Manage digital marketing efforts, including social media advertising, email campaigns, and website updates. Create marketing collateral (flyers, brochures, presentations, videos) to promote programs, partnerships, and events. Track analytics and measure effectiveness of marketing campaigns, making recommendations for improvement. Partnership Development

Support collaborations with universities, healthcare institutions, and businesses by creating compelling marketing and outreach materials. Work with internal teams to share program updates and success stories with stakeholders and funders. Reporting & Evaluation

Collect data and analyze outreach, PR, and marketing performance metrics to show progress and improvement. Assist with preparation of reports and presentations for leadership, board members, and funders to include annual report, quarterly Board presentations, and funder reports.
