Sr. Director of Engineering, Property management & Developments
Xavier Cárdenas is the Sr. Director of Engineering, Property management & Developments for the Medical Center of the Americas (MCA) Foundation. He is responsible for planning and executing all the engineering and facilities management processes at the Foundation. In addition to his engineering duties, Xavier is responsible to deploy and institute project management best practices in accordance with the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) methodologies as the Foundation grows and expands its operations.
Xavier brings knowledge and experience in the aerospace, military, high-reliability world having worked for the Boeing Company for 35 years having held senior leadership responsibilities in the areas of Operations Management, Project/Program Management, Finance Management, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, and Facilities Management. Xavier has led multiple high-complexity manufacturing efforts for products such as the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Minuteman III, B-1B, F-15, V-22, F/A-18 aircrafts, CH-47, AH-64 helicopters for the different branches of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and the International Space Station (ISS) and Delta rocket for NASA.
Xavier holds a degree of bachelor’s science in industrial engineering (BSIE) from the University of Texas at El Paso, a master’s in business administration (MBA) from University of Phoenix, and a professional certification as project management professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Xavier recently completed a master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Texas at El Paso. Xavier has also obtained certificates of completion on executive leadership courses from Stanford University (AeA Stanford Executive Institute) and the University of Washington (Aerospace Industry Manufacturing Seminar – AIMS).
