Product Development Lab Manager
Philip Morton is the Product Development Lab Manager at the MCA Foundation. Philip was born and raised in El Paso and obtained a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in 2014. Over the past 9 years, he has worked in various technical roles at UTEP starting as a lab technician in the Mechanical Engineering Department and moving up to the applications manager at the W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation. While serving as the applications manager he led a research and development team to develop new manufacturing systems, processes, and applications. Philip founded PM Technologies LLC. in 2019, an El Paso, TX-based advanced manufacturing company that combines additive manufacturing (3D Printing) and robotics to fabricate customized products at an affordable price. Throughout Philip’s career, he has co-authored academic publications, invented patents, led a global workforce development program, and designed parts that are currently in production. His experience has primarily focused on research and development projects for a variety of industries such as medical devices, defense, and consumer goods. He is passionate about using his skills and experience to help build a technology-based economy in his hometown of El Paso, Texas.
