The Nurse Innovator Accelerator empowers nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to develop ideas that will improve patient care and their own work experience. Through education, training, one-on-one support, and access to resources for rapid prototyping and fabrication we move healthcare professionals into the entrepreneurial landscape.
With a design thinking focused approach, the Accelerator supports healthcare professionals to improve the healthcare workplace by moving ideas from concept to prototype to production.
How to generate great ideas, and how to validate them through your healthcare experience and focus on the user.
How to test your ideas and how to plan a roadmap to develop your first prototypes.
How to develop a business, like learning about pitching, marketing, IP protection, and other business essentials.
And how to work with product developers, learning how to prototype with technologies like 3D printing and electronics.

Nurses and other frontline healthcare workers with products and ideas that will improve the life of healthcare workers and patient care are encouraged to apply
All individuals and/or companies with healthcare-related products and ideas are eligible to apply. Participants are also required to comply with requests for information and data which are outlined in the program agreement provided upon applying.
The structured boot camp is 18 weeks but the program will provide support to participants for up to a year depending on need.
Applications open on January 1, 2022 and will be accepted on a rolling basis. Once a cohort has been established, training and services will begin. Limited spots are available.
All services are provided free of charge. However, limited spots are available.
