Regular training sessions, networking opportunities, and access to startup resources create a supportive entrepreneurship environment. This combined with frequent opportunities for one-to-one consulting and professional network development helps bring your company from the idea stage to launch.

Innovation Center Clients receive access to MCA resources, including:

• Direct advising from MCA Innovation Staff
• Entrepreneurial Training curriculum designed to teach the skills necessary to validate your innovative product or service idea, understand how to launch your company, and obtain the resources necessary for growth
• Events, such as pitch days, expert speakers and panels, and networking
• MCA facilities, including coworking office space, product development / manufacturing space, and lab space

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for promising individuals who can benefit from MCA support to develop their existing research, prototype, or business plans. Individuals must be looking to develop their innovation into a commercial venture. Individuals who do not have a technology innovation, but are experienced business leaders seeking a pathway into the world of technology commercialization will also be considered. Individuals with prior experience in research, product development, or business will be preferred. Preference will also be granted to individuals working in health, medical, and biotechnology applications.

What do we expect?

Innovators will work alongside MCA Innovation Center Staff to create a progress plan for their innovation or entrepreneurial growth. Active participation by all program participants will enhance the culture of innovation and learning atmosphere of the program - in addition to allowing MCA staff to appropriately allocate MCA resources. To remain in the program, entrepreneurs will be required to participate in entrepreneurial trainings and meet on a monthly basis with MCA Innovation Center Staff to evaluate progress. Individuals who do not make sufficient progress on their progress plan will not be allowed to remain in the program. We understand that Innovation can be hard to predict, so we will work with Innovators to re-evaluate their plans on a continual basis.
